Location: USA: GA, Lawrenceville | This "General Methodology Discussions" Room in the Markets & Methods section is intended as the "home" for the development and refinement of trading tools and methods that start from "broad ideas" rather than specifically-focused solutions.
The Room is "in the clear" where Members, Participants and Guests can all access it, and I hope that many people make use of it. Coming up with new ideas, and dissecting them, and refining them (or determining that they aren't what was hoped for ;~) is a big part of what this Forum (and Club) is about. I've set up the Forum to help keep all this well-organized, so that pieces can be found in the future, through several "entry points", but also so that it all remains LINKED together.
As the initial idea-discussions mature, sometimes indicators or systems or stops are created to facilitate it. As long as they aren't something that the creator wants to keep confidential, they are to be posted in the appropriate Rooms of the (public) OLang, OScript & OPilot Section, with a link from the thread in this Room to them, and a link in each of their threads back to this main discussion area. Anything that the creator wants to keep only within the purvue of Club members will be put in the appropriate Rooms of the "TradeTight Techniques (confidential)" section, with back-and-forth links.
Furthermore, as those components start coming together into a formal Strategy, the OTS files and discussions about that strategy, in particular, will have a home as well ... in the "Strategy Development Discussions" room in this Markets & Methods section. Those components, likewise, will be linked with the core conceptual-discussion thread here. And again, if contributors prefer that some aspects of the Strategy discussion remain confidential, there is a Room in the TradeTight Techniques (confidential) section for Strategies that can be used.
This is the kind of organization that I envisioned when creating this forum ... putting information in well-organized "pigeonholes" so that it could easily be found ... but also including interconnecting links so that the pieces work together well.
Thanks ahead of time to all of you who contribute to this process. Let's make sure the work and great ideas don't get lost! |
