One simple way would be to have all the stocks in your profile on one plate.

Then when you clicked on the "Group" (since it would be the only group in your profile), the Composite Chart shown would effectively be the "Index" you desire.

Yes, the symbol could also appear on multiple plates.

Tom - thank you for the idea. It will double the number of stocks in case I want to keep the original industry groups but this is a good work around..

Yeah, it can be a pain in the neck, but if your symbol universe is small it can easily solve the problem.
