Location: USA: TX, Mansfield | I want to create a Scan that Identifies Sales and Earnings growth (> last qtr, < last qtr, etc.). I have looked through the OT fundamental scan library and don't see these. Is there a way to scan for sales & earnings growth on OT?
Thank you,
Don

Location: USA: GA, Lawrenceville | Hi, Don:
There are several alternatives available to help identify candidates like this. The snapshot shows (on the left) the relevant Fundamental Criteria categories that are available to help.
For Earnings Growth, you could compare Earnings for the Quarter to Earnings for the YTD. This might create a filter that called for the Q to be greater than 50% and Y to be less than 50% ... the percentage being the rank, not the actual value. Of course you could pick a specific earnings value instead of a rank-%, or could pick a different rank-% than 50.
Alternatively, for Earnings Growth, since Earnings per Share is relatively equivalent to overall Earnings, you also could use EPS% either for Qtr/YrAgoQtr or EPS% YTD/YrAgoYTD ... or both. Pick whatever rank% or absolute ratios that you want, of course.
Sales is called "Revenue" in OScan's lists ... you could select the mid-long growth ratios for 3yr or 5yr, as rank% or absolute ... and/or you could check the Q/Q or Y/Y.
I've shown a combo all eight of these in the snapshot, just using 50% rank as the arbitrary threshold. It narrows the Optionable list from 3388 symbols down to just six (shown on the bottom) - note that they are reasonably well diversified ... three different Sectors and six different Groups ... pretty neat!

Location: USA: GA, Lawrenceville | I updated the snapshot in the prior post to show the current Dividend Yield, and the 5-year Dividend Growth, for those six stocks. It's interesting to note which ones are distributing the additional revenue to shareholders by dividends, versus ones that are retaining a good portion of it to bolster company value ... presuming of course the share price is a representative measure ;~)
The charts are attached, below.
