I note HSF is in the > Mode section. Have searched the OT Plug in / Product section and cannot find prices etc. for it.
I am presently studing the SW3 > OT write up (41 pages) for the first time and the TradeTight threads found in the OT ToolBox Mod > Strategy Wizard section. I now have SW3 loaded onto my system. Must say quite excited by what I have read so far.
My questions:
1) Where can one find price data etc. on HSF. I have printed out the user guide - noting it is a 2007 edition
2) Why are there no threads since the guide was posted 9/23/2011 ? I note 251 views on the user guide.
3) Is anyone from TradeTight / TradeTight using HSF ?
4) Is the HSF module a "useful tool" in your opinion ? Your opinons are always most valuable and appreciated.

1. You should contact Nirvana sales about prices, etc. I can't find HSF on their new website. Please let us know if they tell you it's being discontinued. I own it, and it does still work in OT.
2. I suppose there are no thread because no one has much to say about it ;~) It's pretty simple to use and pretty self-explanatory.
3. Good question. I've no idea.
4. Occasionally I use it to compare how several strat's have been performing recently. It does not account for trade sizes, so that means its results are not as realistic as a portfolio simulation run. But it does work efficiently and gives an easy-to-understand comparative snapshot. Alan Faris (a Nclub member) was the one who invented and developed this originally ... he did a good job of it.

I think the Hot Strategy Finder was included with an issue of OT and so would not be something you could purchase independently.
Attached is my copy of the October, 2008 User Manual.
Up to about a year or so ago I would use it nightly on a list of stocks I imported to VT for the next week's trading (a real-time HSF). Unfortunately it was working just fine and then, all of a sudden, it could not accommodate the slighly less than 500 or so stocks I was use to evaluating. So, I stopped using it.

USA: GA, Snellville | It was definitely a plug in listed on N's web site with a relatively low cost (<$150).
It disappeared as something to be purchased about 6 months ago.
I was loading OT on another computer when I noticed HSF was still available for download, but not available for purchase.
It is still listed among my software keys and can still be downloaded.
Someone will have to ask N if they have stopped selling it, or did they not bother to list HSF after their web site was hacked and N redid the site.
